A Make-Up Tutorial for the Average Woman
We can’t be the only women who get overwhelmed by long make-up tutorials that claim to be simple and quick, and are anything but… You hear words like “contouring”, “baking”, “setting”, etc. We don’t have a clue how to do any of those things, and it ain’t for lack of trying. Everyone knows you watch a tutorial and then you go out with good intentions and buy the mentioned make-up and try really hard to do all the “simple” things they did. Don’t know about you guys, but we tend to fail and look more like weird ladies of the night. Who’s with us?!
Well, neither of us grew up with a wealth of make-up knowledge. Ashley was certainly blessed with more help- having two sisters provided a touch more knowledge than zero. Jesse grew up with a mom who hardly wore makeup #naturalbeauty; however, that didn’t help much during those rough teenage years filled with acne. Shoot, who are we kidding? The acne is still hanging on strong. So most of what we know came from watching friends and those blasted make-up tutorials. Also, we think there are plenty of things we do that we simply made up ourselves. Genius’ right?! You just do what you gotta do to survive, ladies.
So we thought we’d just go ahead and make a video about how we do our make-up. We are pretty sure you’re going to relate to it more than anything with the word “baking” in it. Mainly, it’s for your enjoyment. We have no clue what we are doing, but we sure had fun filming. There were several clips that couldn’t be included due to censorship and the desire to keep our jobs. If you know us, you aren’t surprised.
