Contouring Attempt- Still Trying to Figure Out How to Do Makeup
Our first blog post was a makeup tutorial for all the “real” ladies out there. By “real” we mean all the average women out there who are confused about makeup (hopefully just like us). If you haven’t seen that video, you should totally do yourself a favor and check it out here. Technically, we could (and probably should) stop there, because it’s literally the extent of any makeup knowledge we have. However, what kind of bloggers/ adventurists would we be if we weren’t continuously challenging ourselves to go further and be better? This week we have ATTEMPTED to follow along with a contouring video for beginners. We won’t get too type happy on you- the videos speak for themselves. Below is the video we are attempting to follow (Roxette is the only expert involved).
So after we found a video that was created for beginners, we set out to acquire all the necessary items. This task, in and of itself, was exhausting, confusing, and overwhelming. Mad props to any person who feels at home and comfortable in a store like Ulta or Sephora. We documented the experience and below you can see how very little $150 buys you.
With our ridiculously overpriced make-up and a couple of drinks in hand (sick setup pictured above), we decided to take on the contour video. For your viewing pleasure we included every bit of it. We know it is a long video, but we’re just keeping it real- THAT is how long it really takes for “beginner’s contouring”. We would love for you to join in with us. Could be fun, right? We doubt you’ll learn anything from this video, but we sure hope you have a few laughs at our expense.
The after pic. DO YOU EVEN RECOGNIZE US?!?
There you have it, folks. Contouring 101 attempted by yours truly. We gave it our best. Safe to say, this will probably not become part of our daily beauty routine. But, seeing as we are always up for new adventures, we are certainly glad we gave it a shot. Like we said, we will try to do better next time.
