Influencer Husbands
They say behind every great photo is an Instagram husband. We couldn’t agree with this sentiment more. Our husbands are our biggest supporters and round out our 4 man-wolfpack. They’ve basically become a human selfie stick for us. Prior to starting the blog, our men were not big on pictures nor social media. Now- they still don’t love pictures or social media, but that doesn’t stop them from snapping 100 different pictures for the Blog every time we are together and waiting to dig into our food for the perfect picture to be snapped.
If you know our men, you’d know they’re the simple type. Give them some beers, a game to watch & a couch- and they’re in their own little paradise. They don’t need fancy. They don’t want the frills. When we started the blog we knew it would take work and sacrifice not only on our part, but also our husbands. They have blown us away with the amount of support, encouragement, & PATIENCE they’ve shown, while we navigate our way through this #blogworld. Yes, guys- we do need a new outfit for every event we attend (or so it feels).
Ed is the go-to photographer. He isn’t afraid to lay on some pavement or climb on a chair to get the best shot. Tyler is the hype crew, full of words of encouragement, making us laugh and not take our photoshoots so seriously. While you won’t always catch them in FRONT of the camera, we typically force it upon them occasionally and they seem to be more natural than we are. See examples below.
If we are being 100 with you, there are certainly times these guys would rather not be participants in our blog activities, but the longer we do this, the more understanding and supportive they’ve seemed to become. They jokingly like to say “we live for the blog” anytime we ask them to be in a photo or take one for us, but we know they actually mean it (unless it’s cutting into that game time we discussed earlier). We know the boundaries.
Unfortunately, this blog is still just a hobby (one we LOVE); we’re hoping to quit our day jobs soon. Real soon. But until then, it is something we will spend almost all our free time on; and seriously, we couldn’t, and wouldn’t want, to do it without these awesome dudes and all the help and support they provide. They’re the real MVPs.
