You're More Than a Number
If you haven’t heard of the Enneagram Test, where have you been? We can get over that you never watched Tiger King, but not this. Actually, in all honesty, we are behind on this trend, so you’re not alone. We decided we needed to get with the other sheep and take the test to see how accurate it is. Guess what? Ish is scary accurate. The Enneagram has 9 different personality types and each type breaks down strengths, weaknesses, other types you pair well with, etc., you get the gist of it. If you haven’t taken the test yet, we encourage you to do so here. It really will help you figure out why you are the way you are OR it will allow you to blame a shitty trait you possess on your Enneagram. “Sorry I punched you in the face- it’s because I’m an 8”. We break it all down for you in our latest podcast. We were skeptical, but now we’re believers. Blame it on the eh-eh-eh-enneagram.
In all seriousness (we know, blah blah blah), learning about your personality type and those of others around you (especially the ones most near and dear) can be extremely helpful. It will give you insight into what makes people tick and ways to connect with them most. Knowing your own Enneagram can help you communicate what you need most and also give some direction on particular traits you might want to work on and improve (cough cough). But just remember not to use it as an excuse to stay stuck in a rut, because, well, you’re more than a number. And don’t you forget it.
